Commonly Asked Support Questions (January-February 2015)

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked on the Helpdesk during the past two months.

Question 1: Can you enrol the following students in the groups specified for this module? Please see csv attached.

Answer 1: Yes, we can do this. However, we would advise that you contact your course administrator who has the privileges to upload the document and enrol the users in the module. For more information please see the link below:

Question 2: I have lost my access to the module ‘XXX’. Can you please re-enrol me onto the module ‘XXX’?

Answer 2: Yes, although we can do this we would advise that you contact your Course Administrator. They have the privileges to re-enrol and give you access to the module.

Question 3: Can I be given permission to download an assignment from the 2013 archive?

Answer 3: No, we are unable to change the read only role that has been given to all the users. You are advised to raise a HelpDesk ticket and give a link to the assignment area. Could you also provide the name of the student/s assignment that you require. The assignment will be downloaded and emailed to you.

Question 4: I would like to make changes to a scheduled recording. Can you help me please?

Answer 4: We can contact AV bookings on your behalf however it maybe quicker to directly contact AV bookings so that they can give you an instant response. For more information please see the link below:

Question 5: Can you confirm that my student had submitted their assignment on the day they have stated.

Answer 5: Yes, a log of the students activity is recorded and can be found within ‘Logs’ under the Report option under Settings. The course administrator and teacher have the privileges to see the students logs for the assignment. If you need further assistance, then please raise a helpdesk ticket.
