E-Learning Studio, CAPD, Bancroft Building, Mile End Campus

This will be our last Learning Technologists’ meeting for 2014. Teaching will be over in many (but not all) of your Schools and Departments and some of you may be planning to be on holiday by this point.

Those of us that are left will be gathering to have our last chat. We hope some of you will be able to join us.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

• QMplus Upgrade – The latest upgrade to QMplus went live on Tuesday 16th December. We would like to get your feedback on the changes.
• Media Server Demonstration by James Cross from Mediacore – Work has been ongoing with the installation of our new media server. The School of Medicine and Dentistry have been involved this semester and the service will go live for everyone during the next one. James will give us a demonstration of the system and answer any questions you might have.
• Android App for Q-Review – An Q-Review app for mobile devices running Android was recently released allowing people to record videos on their device and upload them directly to Q-Review. We will give an overview of how this works and what it might be used for.
• Initial copyright discussion – At the last Learning Technologists’ meeting, many people said that they would like to have a discussion about copyright. As this is the last meeting of the year, and several people will not be able to attend, we thought it best to save the main discussion for a meeting next semester when everyone is back from holiday.
