Funding available for small scale e-learning projects
Do you have an idea for something you’d like to do with technology in your teaching but you don’t have the time or resources to pursue it? The E-Learning Unit is looking for mini-project proposals as part of the E-learning Production Scheme. The deadline for applications is Friday 7 April. Read more.
Case Study: Enhance engagement using QMplus Hub
This month we share a video case study of Laura Harrison from CAPD who talks about her
experience using QMplus Hub to engage and inform the department about Green Mary, the QMUL initiative to help us look after the environment. Read more.
Q-Review Upgrade – Summer 2017
Q-review will be upgraded this summer to a new ‘Assisted Learning Platform’, allowing us to benefit from a number of improvements to the lecture capture system, such as:
- Users will be able to move between courses’ recordings without navigating off the page/using a separate system.
- An integrated classroom view, with engagement tools available to presenters/students
- Improvements to the discussion tools, such as note taking
- Greater reporting ability
Featured Tool: Turnitin – Responding to a Paper View Request
Turnitin allows an instructor from another university or institution to make a paper view request, where an email, including a brief recap of the assignment in question (title, submission date, and class title) as it was originally submitted is sent. Please read this guide carefully that explains what you should do when such requests come through. This guide also contains a link to the QMUL’s Turnitin Policy.
